Obituary of LaVonne Callies

A celebration of life will be held at 11:30 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 27, at Lane Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene for LaVonne Marcelle Callies of Eugene, who died Oct. 16 of complications of Alzheimer’s disease. She was 84.She was born Feb. 9, 1928, in Chatfield, Minn., to Melvin and Jennie Moen Hatleli. She married Dick Callies on July 28, 1956, in Nashua, Iowa.Survivors include two daughters, Connie Jensen of Westlake, and Tammie Gilham of North Bend; three grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren. She was preceded in death by her husband.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at Lane Memorial Gardens & Funeral Home in Eugene.
