Obituary of Grant Coleman

Grant ColemanA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Friday, Nov. 9, at Fairfield Church Of The Nazarene for Grant Coleman of Eugene, who died Nov. 5 of cancer. He was 86.He was born Aug. 13, 1926, in Valliant, Okla., to W.G. and Kathleen Straight Coleman.He graduated from high school in Battiest, Okla. He served in the Army during World War II and in the Korean War as a paratrooper and in an amphibious unit. He was a chef and owner of Grants Carpet Services.Survivors include a son, Steven of Springfield; two sisters, Jo Coleman-Harem of Eugene and Frances Ruth Coleman-Ferguson of Crooked River Ranch; and two grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
