Obituary of Elizabeth Grenfell

Elizabeth GrenfellA celebration of life will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Nov. 10, at Emmaus Lutheran Church in Eugene for Elizabeth A. Grenfell of Eugene, who died Oct. 22 of age-related causes. She was 88.She was born July 31, 1924, in Minden, Neb., to Kai and Laura Beck Nyegaard. She married Ralph Austin Grenfell Jr. on Sept. 27, 1946, in Eugene. He died Jan. 24, 1985.She did nurses’ training at Emmanuel Hospital in Portland. She was a registered nurse, working with children in the polio wards. She worked for two doctors in Roseburg.Survivors include a son, Stuart of Eugene, and a brother, Allan Nyegaard of Eugene.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
