Obituary of Jimmie Montgomery

LOWELL — Jimmie A. Montgomery of Lowell, died Nov. 13 of cancer. He was 63. Private family services are planned.He was born Dec. 6, 1948, in White Salmon, Wash., to James and Vida Conway Montgomery. He married Susan Melvin on Dec. 15, 2007, in Sutherlin.He served as a firefighter in the U.S. Navy. He worked for the Sheet Metal Union for about 20 years.Survivors include his wife; his father, James Montgomery of Springfield; a son, Jimmie Lee of Springfield; two daughters, Tracie Montgomery and Carrie Montgomery, both of Oakridge; a stepdaughter, Jacquie Gamble of Coos Bay; a brother, Rickie of Eugene; a sister, Debbie Montgomery of Vancouver, Wash.; and six grandchildren.
