Carolyn TompsettELMIRA — Carolyn Louise McPheeters Tompsett of Elmira, died Nov. 19 of chronic obstructive pulmonary disease. She was 71.She was born Feb. 15, 1941, in Mena, Ark. to Alton and Alice Blalock Jones.She married Milton McPheeters in 1958 in Winnemucca, Nev. He died April 29, 1978.She married Gene Tompsett on Oct. 23, 1979, in The Dalles.She graduated from Madras High School in 1959. She was a homemaker.Survivors include her husband; two sons, Melvin Leroy McPheeters of Eugene and Robert Stanley McPheeters of Pendleton; three daughters, Paula Lynne Taff of Fall Creek, Kelley Jo McKern of Glendale, Ariz., and Lisa Gaye Mason of Eugene; a brother, Wayne Jones of Chiloquin; two sisters, Sharon Jones of Salem and Anne Chamness of Tigard; and 11 grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
