Obituary of John Foley

John Foley Jr.A memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Dec. 11, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for John Phillip Foley Jr. of Eugene, who died Nov. 28 of heart failure. He was 90.He was born Nov. 14, 1922, in Hoquiam, Wash., to John and Alsea Amon Foley. He married Marion Elaine Woodruff on Oct. 15, 1948, in Reno, Nev.He served in the U.S. Army during World War II. He worked as a civilian aircraft inspector for the U.S. Navy in Alameda, Calif.Survivors include his wife; two sons, John IV of Dallas, Texas, and David of Billings, Mont.; a brother, Norman of California; two sisters, Gloria Foley and Alesea Raible, both of Grants Pass; two grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
