Miriam ElyThe funeral will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home in Eugene for Miriam “Mim” Ely of Eugene, who died Dec. 6 of age-related causes. She was 88. Visitation will be at 10 a.m. Saturday at the funeral home.She was born June 30, 1924, in Eugene to Melvin and Lola Wood Van Sant. She married Vernon Ely on Oct. 16, 1942, in Eugene. He died Jan. 3, 2012.She graduated from Eugene High School in 1942. She was a homemaker.Survivors include two sons, Michael of Eugene and Daniel of Beaverton; five grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove’s at West Lawn Memorial Park & Funeral Home in Eugene.
