Obituary of Kathleen Humphrey

Kathleen HumphreyA memorial service will be held at 1 p.m. Saturday, Dec. 15, at Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene for Kathleen “Kay” Humphrey of Eugene, who died Dec. 4 of age-related causes. She was 86. Visitation will be from 4 p.m. to 7 p.m. Friday, Dec. 14, at the funeral home.She was born Aug. 12, 1926, in Boise to Oscar and Florence Pierron Spies. She married Harvey Humphrey on Aug. 1, 1948, in Eugene. He died in March 1987.She graduated in 1944 from St. Mary’s High School in Eugene and was a graduate of Eugene Business College. She worked as a bookkeeper at a Eugene lumber company and was a longtime service representative at Meier & Frank credit department in Eugene.Survivors include two sons, Todd of Hillsboro and Rod of Pendleton; two daughters, Jane Poucher of White Salmon, Wash., and Mary Alsop of Eugene; a brother, Bill Spies of Portland; 12 grandchildren; and nine great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances may be made to Hospice of the Gorge in Hood River.
