Bernice PolingA memorial service will be held at 2 p.m. Dec. 29 at Garden Way Church in Eugene for Bernice Emille Poling of Eugene, who died Dec. 11 of age-related causes. She was 94.She was born July 22, 1918, in Eros, Ark., to Loren and Francis Stanley Roberts. She married Frank Poling on Sept. 27, 1945, in Kansas City, Kansas. He died Jan. 10, 1979.She graduated from high school in Pyatt, Ark., and graduated from Lane Community College. She worked at the McDonnell Douglas air force base, at KBMC radio station as vice president and disc jockey, and at the Eugene Mission as a secretary.Survivors include two sons, Bob of Eugene and Ken of Springfield; a daughter, Sue Buck of Eugene; six grandchildren; and eight great-grandchildren.Burial was held in Alford Cemetery. Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.Remembrances may be sent to Missions at Garden Way Church.
