Obituary of Mary Feuerbach
Mary Louise (Jackson) Feuerbach 1925 - 2013 Mary Lou died peacefully on January 4, 2013 of natural causes. She was born January 23, 1925, in Fallon, Nevada, to Paul and Perle (Vaughn) Jackson. She married John J. Feuerbach on September 5, 1947 in Saugerties, New York. She grew up on a farm on the Idaho/Oregon border. She graduated from Adrian High School and received her BA in Psychology and Sociology and later teaching degrees from the University of Oregon. She taught primary grades at Santa Clara Elementary in Eugene 1960-1983. She belonged to many organizations, EEA, EA, and NEA, as well Delta Kappa Gamma, Eastern Star and the Elks #357. Mary Lou loved to camp, ride with John on their motorcycle around the US, Canada and Mexico. They spent many winters in Why, AZ in their motorhome. She loved to travel and went all around the world and made friends everywhere she went. She especially loved young children and would talk with them wherever she was. Survivors are a daughter Joanne Johnson, a son Rob Feuerbach (Rita), grandson Michael, and brothers, Bob (Donna) Jackson and Wilbur (Lela) Jackson; and nieces and nephews, Julie, Jill, Jeannie and Joe, Mindy and Paul. She is pre-deceased by her husband, John, and son-in-law Tom Johnson. The funeral will be January 23, 2013 at Saint Thomas Episcopal Church at 5:00 p.m. In lieu of flowers, please send donations, in her name to Saint Thomas Episcopal Church, 1465 Coburg, Rd., Eugene, OR 97401 or to Jasper Mountain, 37875 Jasper Lowell Rd., Jasper, OR 97438. Jasper Mountain is a non-profit facility that helps abused children that she helped found.
