Obituary of Albert Pachl

Funeral service for Albert F Pachl, 82, of Springfield, Oregon will be 1 p.m., Friday, Feb. 1, 2013, at St. Alice Catholic Church with Rev. David Jaspers celebrating.Visitation for Albert will be at 6 p.m., Thursday, Jan. 31, at Musgrove Funeral Home with a Rosary at 7 p.m.Albert passed away Sunday, Jan. 27, 2013, at EH&L assisted living in Springfield.Albert F Pachl was born December 3, 1930, on the family farm SW of Dickinson, the son of Frank and Mary (Jirges) Pachl. He grew up on the family farm and attended the local school. He went on to serve in the U.S. Army during the Korean Conflict. After being honorably discharged, Albert returned home to North Dakota. On September 9, 1953, Albert and Magdalene Kuntz were united in marriage at St. Mary's Catholic Church in South Heart. The couple then moved to South Heart where Albert managed the Farmers Co-op Elevator. In 1982 Albert and Magdalene moved to La Grande, OR where he managed the Harvest States grain elevator. They moved to Kent, WA in 1991 where he worked in various manufacturing jobs. In 1999 Albert and Magdalene retired to Springfield and made their home here ever since.Albert enjoyed golfing, bowling, and playing cards with his family and friends. He was a member of the Knights of Columbus, 4th degree, St. Pius Verein, and the VFW.Albert is survived by his wife, Magdalene; son Albert Jr. wife Doreen, grandchildren, Jennifer, husband Al Chacano, great-grandchildren Trisha and Chantel; Becky, husband Chris Sayler, great-grandchildren, Samantha, Christopher, and Brittney; Laura, husband Eric Benz, great-grandchildren, Journey, Elle, and Emry; Susan, husband Justin Semarad, great-grandchildren, Abigail, Taily, and Gracie; John, wife Valerie, great-grandchild Wesley Ann; Albert III, wife Jessica. Daughter Paulette Dutchak, grandchildren, Beth, husband Ryan Friesner, great-grandchild Gavin; Bev, husband Grant Leffler; and Barry. Son Paul, wife Pat, grandchildren Clint, and Jen, great-grandchild Priya; and Jodi, great-grandchild, Mackenzie. Son Dennis, wife MJ, grandchildren, Sheila, husband Mike Belland, great-grandchildren, Dalton, Avery, and Jace; Sheri, husband Greg Peters, great-grandchildren, Rayden, Kynaston, and Brezlyn; Shelly, husband Dave Hanson, great-grandchild Ethan; and Sheryl. Son Dean, wife Mary, grandchildren, Dawn, Amanda, husband, Tony Brillante, great-grandchild Baillie; and Dean Jr. Daughter Grace, husband Robert Riggs, grandchildren Nathan and Ian and his sister, Bertha (Pachl) Kuntz.Albert is preceded in death by both parents, an infant sister, daughter Gayle, brothers; Robert, George, Leonard, and Edward Pachl.
