Obituary of Orville Marshall
Orville Charles Marshall passed away on Feb. 6th, 2013 of age related causes. He was born in Lincoln, Nebraska on 5-22-34 and was the first of 11 children. Orv met the love of his life and high school sweetheart, Carol, in Yakima, WA, and was married on 6-16-56.He is survived by his wife, Carol, their two children, Debbie and Ron, and their 3 grandchildren, Justin, Jared, and Jessica. He is also survived by his sisters, Pauline & Jenell, and his brother Ray, all from Selah, WA. He has many nephews and nieces that will miss him terribly. He is preceded in death by his brothers, Ronnie, Don, Gail, Paul, and sisters, Doris, Evelyn, and Mary.Orville worked in the paper industry for over 50 years, which brought the family to Eugene, OR in 1972. He loved to build model airplanes, playing softball with his son and friends, travelling with his wife, Carol, and spending time with his family. He had an infectious smile and always made everyone wondering if he was up to something, or just because he was happy. He will be truly missed by us all. Family was very important to him.The Celebration of Life will be held on Feb. 23rd at Summer Oaks Recreation Center, 3220 Crescent Ave., Eugene, OR at 2:30 pm.Arrangements entrusted to West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home.
