Obituary of Bryce Chilgren

Bryce E. Chilgren of Harrisburg peacefully passed away on February 21, 2013 surrounded by his family. Bryce was born May 26, 1923 in Williams, Minnesota to Judge Albert and Kathryn Chilgren. He was the youngest of seven children. He served in the Army Air Force from 1942-1946. He married Virginia Hansen on May 22, 1950 in Baudette, Minnesota. He and his wife ran a private business for several years. He was also a barber in Harrisburg and worked for the city. During the 1980’s, he coached kidsports. Bryce was an active member of his community and church. He was a wonderful, loving person and will be greatly missed by his family and friends. Bryce is survived by his wife; two daughters, LeeAnn Pratt (Fevrel) and LaVonne Chilgren; five grandchildren, Eric, Bradley (Chisa), Mark, Joelle (Colin) and Jocelyn (Terrence); nine great-grandchildren, Brendan, Aubree, Terrence, Olivia, Jaxon, Bryce, Selma , Evan and Koto. A memorial service will be held at the Shepherd of the Valley Lutheran Church in Junction City, Oregon on Saturday, March 2nd at 2:00pm.
