Obituary of Rhett Garrick
Rhett A. “Rex” “Ironman” Garrick went home to be with the Lord on March 7, 2013. A Celebration Of His Life will be held on Saturday, March 16th, 11:00 AM at Harvest Community Church, 2700 Gilham Road, Eugene. Rex’s legacy is the people he has touched with his love, generosity, kindness, wit and most important his unwavering faith. Rex loved people and loved life. He was passionate about his Oregon Ducks and an avid Seventy Sixers Fan. The best of him will live on through us and is the true measure of his life, one we shall never forget.Rex was born on August 13, 1942 in Hattiesburg Mississippi to Earl & Eunice Garrick. He proudly served in the US Navy beginning in 1961. He married Kelly Garrick in 1986. Rex is survived by his wife Kelly, son Brewer and his wife Connie of Tomball TX, son David and daughter Tricia of Grand Junction CO and daughter Casey of Philadelphia PA, 10 grandchildren and 4 great-grandchildren. Rex also leaves 2 sisters, Mary Walton of Hallsville TX and Jane Brittain of Eugene.
