Obituary of Herbert Medlin

A funeral service will be held at West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home at 11:00 am, April 2, 2013 for Herbert Wilson Medlin, 83, of Eugene who died March 28, 2013. He was born October 7, 1929 in Dallas County, Arkansas to Josephine Langley and William E. Medlin. He married Trubie E. Halpain on January 13, 1951 in Malvern, Arkansas. Herbert was a sawmill worker before working as a firefighter and fire chief for Lane Rural Fire District from 1962-1980. Herbert is survived by his wife, Trubie Medlin; their five daughters and one son; fourteen grandchildren, twenty-two great-grandchildren and eight great-great- grandchildren.
