Obituary of Ida Braatz

Ida E. Braatz was born Dec. 27, 1922 to John F. & Edna Schmidt in Hayward, Wisconsin. Her folks moved to a farm near Litchfield, MN in 1927. She went to a one room school through the 8th grade. She worked her way through High School to pay her bus fare to go to school. After high school graduation she worked in a Woolen Mill and made blankets for the army. She worked at bookkeeping until her marriage to Charles Ralph Braatz in 1947. They farmed for 16 years and moved to Oregon in 1963. She started her own Income Tax business in 1973. She was a member of Tax Consultants, PGMA, The Pointe Church, the Former Whist Club. She had 3 sons, Duane of Elmira, OR, Ronald of Scio, OR, Richard of Eugene, OR 7 Grandchildren, 14 Great Grandchildren She and her husband loved to travel, play cards. She loved Gospel music concerts and loved to be with her friends. She loved her yard and flowers and her family.A visitation is planned for Friday April 5, 2013 from 10:00 – 5:00pm and Monday April 8, 2013 from 12:00 – 2:30pm. A Funeral Service is planned for Monday April 8, 2013 at 4:00pm at West Lawn Chapel. Private Family entombment, West Lawn Mausoleum.
