Obituary of Martha Chism

Martha Chism of Eugene, died April 9, 2013 of complications due to old age, at the age of 98 years.She was born June 14, 1914 in Ames, Iowa, to Charles & Lucretia (Mellor) Nichols.A memorial service to be determined, inurnment at Story Memorial Gardens, Ames, Iowa.Martha graduated from High School in Ames, Iowa, and attended Iowa State University. She was a homemaker and Library Assistant at Newton Public Library in Newton, Iowa and the Eugene Public Library in Eugene, Oregon.She married Earl Chism on June 9, 1937, he died June 21, 1997.She is survived by three sons, Ralph Chism, Stanley Chism & Warren Chism and a daughter, Beth Prescott and five grandchildren and six great-grandchildren.Memorial contributions can be made to the Eugene Public Library.Arrangements by Musgrove's at England's Eugene Memorial Chapel in Eugene.
