Obituary of Wendell Brown

Wendell E. Brown passed away April 14, 2013, he was 91. He was born February 14, 1922 to Erle D and Jessie Nora Brown in Airlie, Oregon, in Polk County. He attended OSU and graduated from U of O and did graduate studies at the School of Social Service Administration at The University of Chicago. He retired from State employment in 1980 after 28 years with the Department of Adult and Family Services. He served during WWII in the Army in the States and on Shemya in the Aleutian Islands.He is survived by one brother Marlen Brown and a sister Marlene Brown Payne and numerous nieces and nephews. He was preceded in death by his brother Norman in January of 2004.Wendell was intensely interested in the constant change in the world as it affected friends as well as humanity in general. His outlook on life was “I love humanity as a group, but there are some people who do things I take strong exception too."Inurnment will take place at Eagle Point National Cemetery. No services will be held at his request.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary in Eugene.
