Obituary of Patricia Allard

Pat was born October 16, 1927 in San Francisco, to Thomas Joseph Lennon MD and Katherine Mary (Buckley) Lennon. She received a Bachelors degree in Biology from Dominican College, and her subsequent Nursing training at St. Mary’s in San Francisco and Georgetown University in Washington, D.C.Pat married John Mountz on January 30th, 1954. When he died in 1969, she returned to work, raised her 3 children and saw them through college. She married Jean Allard in 1997; they later divorced. Pat worked as a Registered Nurse at Alameda Hospital and was promoted to Associate Director of Nursing there. She retired to Sweet Home, OR and later moved to Eugene, OR.Pat was an avid gardener, quilter and seamstress, and card player. She was a fabulous cook and is survived by aspiring cooks that share her enthusiasm.Pat served as President of The Sweet Home Garden Club, President of the Catholic Women’s Society of Sweet Home, Member of the Council of Governments Senior Health Services Advisory Board, Founding volunteer for Dinner With Daisy (a local soup kitchen), Member of the Jolly Stitchers Quilting Club, and Volunteer for the Red Cross. She was instrumental in the expansion and updating of the Sweet Home Senior Center, and was quite active supporting church activities.Pat is survived by her brother Daniel Lennon of Sonoma, California; son Thomas (Dawn) Mountz of Prineville, daughters Katherine (Dean) Vendrasco of Eugene, and Patricia Almason of Sweet Home. She leaves behind her beloved 8 grandchildren and 5 great-grandchildren, as well as many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her sister Katherine Greenhalgh and her husband John Mountz.Pat died April 15, 2013 in Springfield OR of Alzheimer’s Disease. Private burial will be held at a later date in San Rafael CA. Arrangements are by Musgrove Family Mortuary.The family wishes to thank ElderHealth and Living for their compassionate care of Pat for the past several years.
