Obituary of Gerald Sweet

Gerald (Gerry) Franklin Sweet age 83, of Eugene, passed away on March 1, 2013 of age related causes. He was born in Taft, California to Franklin & Haidee (Kniffen) Sweet. A celebration of life will be April 28th from 3:00 to 5:00, at the Elks Lodge on 11th Street, in Eugene. An inurnment took place at West Lawn Memorial Park.Gerry attended California Polytechnical State University. He worked at Eugene Fastners & Supply.He received an honorable discharge from the Army and served during the Korean Conflict.He married Millie Stormont on February 14, 1975 in Eugene, OR., she passed away in 2008. They were married for 33 years.He is survived by a daughter, Sharon Smith (Jerry Allen) of Eugene, A son, David Sweet, of Eugene, a step-daughter, Laurie Bressler (Rick) of Donald, Oregon, two step-sons, Steve Stormont (Toni)., and Bill Stormont (Kathy). Also a brother, Hap Sweet (Bonnie) of Santa Maria, CA. He has 3 grandchildren and 9 great-grandchildren.Arrangements by Musgrove Family Mortuary.
