Obituary of Kenneth Klopp
Kenneth Charles Klopp of Eugene, Oregon passed away on Tuesday, April 23, 2013 at the age of 77. He was born on August 6, 1935 in Salem, Oregon to Charles Klopp and Grace (Calander) Klopp. Ken was one of four children. He joined the Marine Corp in 1952 and was honorably discharged in 1956 with the rank of Corporal. Ken and Betty (Williams) were married August 6, 1965. Ken returned to Eugene and began a career in the sheet metal industry that spanned 50 years, beginning with Carothers Sheet Metal and finishing with Western Pneumatics as a Sales Engineer. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and hiking and could always be found tinkering with some project in his shop. He loved watching his sons and grandchildren in all their sporting endeavors. Ken is survived by his wife, Betty Klopp, of Eugene, sons Mark (Leona) Klopp, Rick (Jeanne) Klopp and Jeff Klopp, all of Eugene, a sister Aileen Shoptaugh of Springfield, seven grandchildren, five great-grandchildren, and many nieces and nephews. A memorial service will be held Thursday, May 2, 2013 at 11:00am at Lane Memorial Gardens and Funeral Home.
