Obituary of Dorothy Brund

Dorothy (Dottie) M. Brund passed away peacefully at home on Wednesday, April 24 in Eugene, surrounded by family, due to lung cancer. She was born in Litchfield, Minnesota on October 5, 1927 to Harry and Myrtle Oberg. The family moved to Sherwood, N. Dakota then to Eugene in 1934. She attended local schools and graduated from Eugene High School in 1946. On June 6, 1948 she married her childhood sweetheart Bill Brund. She is survived by her husband and sons, Bill and Kristi of Newport, Ken and Elaine of Eugene, Jerry and Shelley of Springfield and daughter Sharon and Jim Metzler of Springfield, numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces, and nephews. She was preceded in death by a son Daniel in 1959 and her sisters Marcy, Eloyce, and Elaine. Her interests included Dixieland Music, gardening, watching her sons and grandsons play baseball. Taking trips to the Oregon Coast and Hawaii. She will be remembered by her beautiful smile. A service will be held on Saturday, May 4th at 11:00 a.m. at Lane Memorial Funeral Home.
