Obituary of Elnora Painter
Elnora Edith Dunn Painter was born on September 23rd 1918 To Edward and Edith Herendeen Dunn in Champaign, Illinois. The family moved to Oregon in 1922 and settled in Lorane, Oregon where she graduated from Lorane High School.She married Lewis Franklin Painter on June 18th 1939. He passed away in 1999. She was a longtime member of University Street Church of Christ and later Westside Christian Church. She is survived by two sons, Daryl Painter of Cedar Vale, Kansas and Randal Painter of Eugene, and a daughter, Merrilee Morse of Fremont, California. A son, Roger F. Painter and a daughter, Shirlee Kumar both died previously. She is also survived by a sister, Helen Balfour of Drain, and numerous grandchildren, great grandchildren and great great grandchildren. She worked at Agripac Cannery for 16 seasons. She was strong in her Christian faith and will be greatly missed by all who knew her.A celebration of life will be held Sunday May 12, 2013 at 3pm at Musgrove Family Mortuary.The Painter family would like to give a special thank you to the caregivers and staff at Gateway Gardens, Cascade Hospice, Good Samaritan Rehabilitation, Good Neighbor Care Center, Linda Gray’s Foster Home and Home Instead Senior Care.In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to Wycliffe Bible Translators atPO Box 628200, Orlando FL 32862.
