Obituary of Dan Manzer

Dan Manzer, 86 of Springfield, died May 20, 2013. He was born March 15, 1927 in Atwater, California to Thomas and Lucile (Turner) Manzer. He attended school in California. On November 11, 1952 he married Doris Mayhugh in Colville, Washington. She passed away September 26, 2011. Dan loved working on cars. He served in US Navy during WWII in the South Pacific and then in Korea in the Army Air Corps. He worked in a mill for a short time after his military service and then worked in Diesel Electric Power Generation in the civil service Air Force, retiring in 1982. He is survived by two daughters, Ellen Manzer of Springfield and Linda Quiggle of Amarillo, Texas and two grandsons, William Wolfs and David Wolfs, both of Las Vegas, Nevada. A visitation will be on Wednesday, May 29th from 4-7pm at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home. A funeral service will be held on Thursday, May 30th at 4:00pm at the funeral home.
