Obituary of Jack Dunn

Jack James Dunn, 93 of Eugene, passed away May 22, 2013. He was born in Montecito, Washington on November 20, 1919. He married Imogene Harvey in 1946. They were married for 61 years. Imogene passed away in 2007. Jack grew up in the logging camps in Wendling. He was a graduate of Mohawk high school. He served one tour in WWII as a turret gunner in the US Navy. Jack was an aviation mechanics machinist's mate 1-c and plane captain. He entered the Navy in 1941 and spent two periods of six months each, one spent in the South Pacific. He trained in San Diego, Jacksonville, and Chicago. After the war he worked at Boeing and was a sheet metal worker after moving to Eugene. He is survived by two sons, Jim and Jerry Dunn, and four grandchildren. There will be no service, per his request. Arrangements by Lane Memorial Funeral Home.
