Obituary of Ronald Schmale

Ronald Gene Schmale passed away peacefully at home on July 25, 2013. Ron was born in North Bend, Oregon to Harold and Beatrice Schmale on November 24, 1939. After graduating from South Eugene High School in 1959 he went to work for Giustina Plywood Mill. In 1969 he left Giustina to work at Steiner Corp. as Driver/Salesman until his retirement. Ron was also co-owner of Schmale Nursery. Ron enjoyed camping, gardening and the Oregon Ducks. His passion was fishing. He cherished time spent with family. His sense of humor was loved by everyone. Ron was a member of Fairfield Baptist Church Ron is survived by his wife Twila, sons Scott and Todd, step-children Vicki, Gary, Michael and Sandy, 13 grandchildren and 19 great-grandchildren, and brothers Don and Roger. Graveside memorial services will be held for family and close friends at Lane Memorial Gardens on Wednesday, July 31, 2013 at 10:00am. Arrangements entrusted to Lane Memorial Funeral Home.
