Obituary of Harold Yarbrough
Harold A. Yarbrough of Eugene, Oregon passed away July 21, 2013 at the age of 85. He was born one of 8 children to Pat & Flossie Yarbrough in Amity, Arkansas. Harold is survived by his wife of 66 years, Joan (Barron) Yarbrough, sons Ron M. (Wife Carol of Canby), David H. (Wife Janey of Eugene), 2 granddaughters Tiffany Yarbrough & Kortney Fisher of Sandy, step- grandsons Steve of Henderson, Nev. & Luke of Roseburg, Ore., 3 great- grandchildren and sister Greta Ostrum of Salem, Oregon and many nieces and nephews. Prior to retirement for past 20 years, he was a volunteer firefighter for 7 years in the 50's, co-owner of Twin City Plastering Co., factory rep. & gypsum specialist for Georgia Pacific Corp. and retired as the co-owner of Shamrock Lumber Co. In Eugene, Oregon. Harold served in the Merchant Marines in WWII along with 4 brothers in the Navy and Air Force. His life was so rich with family and friends and will be forever missed. A private family honor guard burial will be held August 3, 2013 at 10AM and a celebration of life service to be held August 3rd, at 1:00 PM at Cascade Manor, 65 NW 30th Ave., Eugene, Oregon.
