Obituary of Rita Harrington

Rita June Harrington passed away peacefully 8/21/2013. She was born February 4th, 1950 in Hayesville, North Carolina and then moved to Vernonia, Oregon with her family. She attended Vernonia High School then moved to Tillamook, Oregon where she graduated from beauty college. She married Craig Harrington in 1973 and settled in Springfield, Oregon where they had two daughters. Rita had an abundance of creativity and volunteered many hours at her daughters’ schools and dance lessons. Rita had a passion for art and and a sharp wit, not to mention a great sense of humor. Rita is survived by her husband Craig Harrington and her daughters Twilla and Carmen Harrington, as well as her two grandsons Kane and Olin. A viewing will be held on Friday, August 23rd from 4-7pm at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home. Donations can be made in Rita's name to the national Multiple Sclerosis Society.
