Obituary of Genevieve Loveless
Genevieve Icy Loveless of Eugene, Oregon, passed away on Wednesday, August 21, 2013 at the South Hills Rehabilitation Center. She was a beloved mother, grandmother and great grandmother.Genevieve was born in La Grande, Oregon on March 16, 1932 to the proud parents of Myrtle and Jewell Roe. She was raised in La Grande, Oregon. During her High School years she was involved with her Glee Club, Pep Club and she was a member of the Rainbow Girls. She met and married Ray Loveless in 1950. They then moved to Eugene. They had four children, three boys and a girl.Genevieve was very much involved with her children. She participated in the Blue Birds and Girl Scouts with her daughter and the Cub Scouts and Boy Scouts with her sons.She was a caregiver for patients with Alzheimer’s. She also worked as a “House Mother” for many years caring for unwed mothers.Genevieve leaves behind three children, nine grandchildren and two great-grandchildren, as well as two brothers.Genevieve was an incredible person and loved spending time with her family. She also loved to travel and enjoyed visiting the coast each summer with her grandchildren. She also enjoyed gardening, baking and simply spending time with her friends and family.There will be a Celebration of Life on Tuesday, August 27th at 11:00 a.m. at the Musgrove Family Center. Contributions in honor of her life can be made to the Alzheimer’s Association.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
