Obituary of Nancy Rogers

Nancy Lois Rogers, beloved daughter of John and Lois Rogers and wife of Newt Megown, left her body peacfully August 24, 2013, at her home in Eugene, Oregon. Nancy was born March 8, 1951, in Los Angeles, California, went to school in Reseda and Agoura, California, and moved to Eugene in the 1970's. She retired recently from Lane Community College, where she worked in the finance office and where a tree is being planted in her honor. All who knew Nancy couldn't help but love her as she exuded kindness to everyone, always placing consideration of others before herself. Her young nieces and nephew sought out her advice because of her willingness to listen and her special way as a close confidant of taking seriously their thoughts and feelings. Along with her family and dear friends, the loves of her life included going to the beach, gardening, needlework, showing he family Oregon's waterfalls and other sights, playing Singapore gin, belly dancing, drumming and her cats. She is survived by her husband, mother, two brothers and more then 40 cousins, nieces, nephew, grand nieces and nephews, and step-children, step grandchilden and great grandchild, who all are forever grateful for the loving spirit she conveyed.
