Obituary of Junior Durfee

Earl Durfee, at the age of 87, passed away peacfully on August 31st with family by his side. Born June 22, 1926 to Joe and Nellie Durfee in Albany, Oregon. He married Betty Pittman on June 16, 1950 in Springfield, Oregon. Survivors include his wife Betty; two daughters, Linda Ulmer and husband Wayne, and Joanne Eldridgeand husband Rick; one brother Norman Petersen and wife Carol; two grandchildren, Ryan Albright, Raenelle Culp and husband Vern; one great-grandchild, Austin Culp. Earl is preceded in death by his son John. Earl served in the U.S. Military during World War II in the South Pacific. During this time he was honored as a recipient of the Purple Heart Award.
