Obituary of Jeffrey Frank Ellis
Jeffrey Frank Ellis, 62, passed away peacefully in his home on the morning of April 7th, 2015, after a 17-year battle with Multiple Sclerosis. He was the beloved husband of Andrea 'Andi' Ellis and father of Meghan and Casey Ellis. He is also survived by brother Scott Ellis, son-in-law Mark Stanisz, and grandson Benjamin. Jeff was deeply loved and admired by both family and friends for his courage, sense of humor, determination, and kindness.
Born on April 25, 1962 in Westfield, NJ, he was the son of the late Joseph 'Craig' and Joan Ellis, and he was predeceased by brother Randy. Jeff graduated from Muncie Central in Indiana before pursuing an engineering degree at Cornell University, where he also played football and was a member of Chi Psi fraternity. He later completed an MBA at George Washington University. After traveling the world and meeting his beloved wife Andi in Honolulu, he joined Ernst & Young as a consultant in Washington D.C., where he worked in a job he loved before retiring as a partner in the energy and utilities practice in 2003 . Jeff was an avid traveler, loved history, and completed several triathlons. He was tolerant of the many cats that passed through his life but had a special bond with his dog Klondike.
Relatives and friends are invited to a celebration of Jeff's life at the Ellis home on Sunday, April 12th. All are welcome between 12-3PM. In lieu of flowers, the Ellis family asks that donations be made to The National Multiple Sclerosis Society. In honor of Jeff's distaste for convention please come in blue jeans or other comfortable attire.
