Obituary of Louise Jackson
Louise passed away Monday evening, October 21, 2013. She was born November 13, 1919 in Butler County, Kansas to Thomas T. and Nell Baker. She graduated Whitewater High School in 1938. She married Carvel Lee Jackson on New Year’s Day 1940. They lived in various locations of southern Kansas and northern Oklahoma during the war years. They had a son Tom during that time. In 1948 they moved to Eugene, Oregon where other family had preceded them. Their daughter Carol was born there. Louise was an avid gardener, an accomplished seamstress and devoted mother and grandmother. She spent 15 years seasonally employed at Agri-Pac. In 1987 she and Carvel moved to Sun City, Arizona and returned to Eugene in 1994 where Carvel passed away in 1995. Louise lived at Lake Ridge and Terpening Terrace and finally at Grammy Dee’s House where she was a beloved resident. She was preceded in death by her husband of 56 years, her brother Hugh and a beloved grandson, Evan Whitlock. She is survived by her son Tom (Mary Ellen) of Evanston, Illinois, Carol (Jean) Whitlock of Eugene, grandchildren Peter, Kristen and Chad, 5 great grandchildren, Her brother Robert Baker of Newton, Kansas, her sister Natalie Latimore of Altamont, Kansas and numerous Nieces and Nephews.
