Obituary of Owen Goin

Owen Ralph Goin, 93, of Eugene, OR died October 26, 2013. He was born December 13, 1919 in Garden Grove, Iowa to Milton and Odessa (Sparks) Goin. On October 5, 1939 in Albion, Nebraska he married Elnora Marie Schafer who survives. He served in the U.S. Army in Europe during World War II from 1943 until 1946. He worked at States Industries for 25 years retiring in 1981. He is survived by his wife, Elnora Goin of Eugene; a daughter, Mary Ellen Hake of Florence; two grandsons, Mark Lee Anderson of Durango, Colorado and Barry Lee Anderson of Clovis, California; and a sister, Carol June Grice of Scio, OR. A son, Randy Owen preceded him in death in 1975. He enjoyed bowling, fishing, and hunting. Arrangements entrusted to West Lawn Memorial Funeral Home.
