Obituary of Christine Willie

Chris Willie of Springfield Oregon passed away November 28, 2013 of colon cancer. Born in Oxnard, California, to Harold and Virginia Frost; the only daughter of seven children. Chris graduated from Canyon High School in Valencia, California. Married in Bull Head, Arizona in 1984 to Tom Willie, shortly before settling in Springfield, Oregon. Chris worked at Thurston High School as the bookkeeper where she volunteered her time as the coach and advisor for the Thurston High School Equestrian team. Devoted wife and mother to her two children, Thomas and Samantha; she worked cooperatively with her husband to manage the family businesses. She loved animals including her three dogs, three cats, five chickens, two fish, and a beloved squirrel named Charlie. Survived by husband Tom, son Thomas and wife Jessica, daughter Samantha, and six brothers. A visitation will be held on Friday, December 6th, from 2-7pm at Springfield Memorial Funeral Home, 7305 Main Street Springfield OR. A Celebration of life will be held on Saturday, December 7th at 4:30pm at Twin Rivers Baptist Church located at 1660 Mohawk Blvd. Springfield OR.
