Obituary of James Heath

James Leroy Heath was born on 5-23-1940 to Roy and Nelda Heath in Medford Oregon. He died December 2, 2013 of COPD. He was very athletic and played football while attending Phoenix High School. After high school, he attended Southern Oregon University and San Francisco State College. James started his career in finance at First Interstate Bank, a position he held for 21 years. Later he worked as administer at the Northwest Eye Center for 10 years. Following his time at the Eye Center, he became a mortgage broker for the remainder of his professional career. Jim served our country as a member of the US Army. He was a member of the Eugene Elks Lodge, Lions Club and Rotary Club. Jim made many significant contributions to the Eugene community. He was an avid golfer in his younger years and enjoyed traveling with his wife, Glenda “Gee” Heath, whom he loved deeply. Family was the number one priority for Jim, who was a gentle and loving man. Jim had many friends, and everyone who met him loved him for his kind and giving nature and his passion for life. He will be sorely missed by all who knew and loved him.Jim is survived by his wife, Glenda Heath, father Roy Heath, stepmother Gerry Heath, and children: Kimberly Posey, Joni McCain, David Honstein and Randy and Chris Heath. His grandchildren: Riley Heath, Jacob Heath, Courtney Posey, Ashley Posey, Nicole McCain and Morgan McCain and several Aunts and Cousins.Funeral Services will be held: Tuesday December 10, 2013 at 2pm in Musgrove Family Center, Eugene, OR. Private Burial Service at West Lawn Memorial Park, Eugene, OR.
