Obituary of Alice Hyder

Alice Eleanor Hyder passed away New Years Eve 2013. Alice was born to Mathilda Ouimette and Ozias Marcil June 22, 1928 in Chicopee, MA. She grew up in her beloved Massachusetts with her 4 brothers Alfred, Ernest, Hector and Robert whom she loved dearly. She graduated from Rivier College in Nashua New Hampshire in 1950 and married Lawrence "Jim" Hyder in 1955.After living in New Jersey, Spain and Washington with the military, Alice and Jim raised their family in McMinnville Oregon for 38 years. Alice worked in Dietary services at various medical facilities and helped with the family woodproducts business.After Jim passed in 2003, Alice moved to Eugene where she enjoyed spending time with her children, Grandchildren and Greatgrandchildren. Alice loved homemaking, reading, outings with her family and going to the casino.She is survived by her children Brad, Allison and Scott of Eugene. 5 grandchildren and 3 greatgranchildren. She is preceded in death by her husband Lawrence and an infant daughter, Allison.A Funeral Mass will be Monday, January 6, 2014 at 2:00 PM at St. Paul Catholic Church. Viewing will be at the church from 12:00 to 2:00.
