Obituary of Charles Maib

Sunrise: February 5, 1925Sunset: January 3, 2014Charles Waldo Maib died of natural causes at the age of 88 at his home in Eugene, OR. Charlie served in the US Navy, was a graduate of the V-12 unit out of Gonzaga University, and later graduated from the University of Washington where he met the love of his life, Margo. Charles and Margo were married for 63 years until her death this past March. They shared a deep passion for traveling and an array of different interest. Not only was he a devoted husband, father, and grandfather but he also did his best to give back to his community. Charles was full of love and joy and he made an impact on every life he touched.In every shadow there is light, in every tear, a smile and in death I know a little life that lingersCharles’ spirit will forever linger in the lives of his two children David Maib and Erin Pelayo and grandchildren, Titi and Gabby Pelayo.A memorial service will be held on Saturday, January 11th at 12:00 Noon, Valley River Inn, McKenzie River North, Eugene, OR.Arrangements entrusted to Musgrove Family Mortuary.
