Obituary of Genevieve Y. Luck
Genevieve Yadon Luck passed away peacefully on December 13, 2013, at age 99. Her passing was preceded by her loving husband George Luck, her older brother Jerry Foster, and her dear younger brother David Foster. She is survived by her daughters Dianne Bass, Judy Morse, and Sue Roberts, as well as other family, grandchildren, great grandchildren, and one great-great grandchild. “Jenny” was born in The Dalles, Oregon, on July 8, 1914, to Marie Terese and Winfield Ulric Foster. Over the years, she lived in a number of western communities, including: The Dalles, Coquille, Bandon, Portland, Seattle, Los Angeles, Mesa, Eugene, and Springfield. In 1932, she graduated from Lincoln High School in Portland. In 1938, she married George Luck. Jenny and George were longtime Eugene residents. Jenny attended Lane Community College and retired from Tillman Booth. Jenny was an avid gardener, skilled seamstress, and artist. She played the harp and piano. Always ready to lend a hand, she often volunteered. She loved the outdoors, and especially enjoyed the Oregon Coast and the McKenzie River. Jenny was deeply loved and will be missed very much.
