Obituary of Jean Elizabeth Scribner
SCRIBNER: Jean Elizabeth passed away suddenly on Wednesday, January 30, 2013 with family by her side. Jean was born in Brandon on September 3, 1959, the youngest child of Bill and Georgina (Dennis) Scribner. Jean will be missed by her brothers Jack (Myrna), Don (Helen) and Dennis (Debby); nieces Trina Carey and Tishia (Lyle) Wright; nephews Zachary and Gregory Scribner; Aunts Muriel and Audrey Dennis. Also left to cherish Jean's memory are her Westman House family – Jane, Shelagh, Ron, Shirley and Patti whom she has lived with for over 30 years. She will be remembered by very special caregivers Wendy Kennedy and Chelsey Schmitz as well as all the staff of Westman Opportunities. Jean was predeceased by her parents, Auntie Kay Dennis and Uncles Rob and Jack Dennis.
Jean spent over 30 years working at COR Enterprises only recently being semi-retired. She enjoyed participating in the Special Olympics and was fortunate to be able to go on many vacations with her Westman family.
Jean was a very special person and was loved by all who knew her. She loved shopping, colouring, diet coke and spending time with both her families. Jean always kept us on our toes!! She will be missed dearly.
A Celebration of Jean's Life took place on Monday, February 4th with Pastor Paul Stade of First Baptist Church officiating. Urn bearer was Helen Scribner.
