Obituary of Victoria Demas

DEMAS: Victoria Elizabeth. "Hapan Wazi Win" Born March 16, 1940 on the Oak River Reserve, passed away December 17, 2012 at the Dakota Oyate Lodge. Mom leaves to mourn her children; Richard, Greg (Tannis), Candace (Craig), Penny and Murphy. 17 grandchildren and 10 great grandchildren. Mom is also survived by her brothers, Karl (Freda) Essie, Raymond White and Frank (Esther) Hapa; sisters' Winona White, Flora (Ron) Kequahtooway, Frances Boyd, Merle Hapa and Gwen Hapa. A traditional wake will be held on Friday, December 21, 2012 at 5:00 p.m. at the Sioux Valley Veterans Memorial Hall. Funeral service will take place on Saturday, December 22, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Pastor Edmund Jordan officiating. Interment will take place at the Sioux Valley Catholic Cemetery. The family sincerely thanks the staff of the Dakota Oyate Lodge for the care and kindness shown to our mom during her brief stay.
