Obituary of Beatrice May Macintosh
MACINTOSH: It is with great sadness that we announce the passing of Beatrice May Macintosh, wife of the late Murdock Macintosh on Sunday, November 25, 2012. Bea passed away comfortably in her own home with loved ones by her side as she continued her life's journey onward.
Bea was born in Brandon on May 23, 1931 to parents Dave and Susan Lawson, being but one of eleven children. Bea is survived by many who loved her, friends and family alike who will miss her presence in their lives, especially her wit, stubbornness and loving spirit.
Bea was consistently kind and reliable to every person and task she encountered, which showed in her many friendships, her employment at Woolworth's, to her love for her husband, Murdock.
Bea's last years were a struggle as she battled cancer but nonetheless her gentleness, guidance and insight continually shone through. She will be gravely missed by those who have cared for her these past years, to whom were acknowledged by Bea as family.
A special acknowledgement of Thanks on Bea's behalf to Dr. Moller and the staff at the Cancer Centre for their devoted care and kindness, which shall never be forgotten.
A memorial service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Friday, November 30, 2012 at 11:00 a.m. with The Venerable Paul Curtis officiating. Interment will follow at Rosewood Memorial Gardens. Flowers are gratefully declined and donations may be made to the Brandon Regional Health Centre "A Sense of Home," 150 McTavish Avenue East, Brandon, MB, R7A 2B3.
