I was just catching up on Brandon news and read of Korshed's passing. She was a wonderful caring doctor. She visited with my family in Australia when she was on one of her many world trips. My family were so taken by her wonderful and heartfelt love for
others. She will always be remembered.

I just learned of the passing of Dr. K.J. and express my condolences. I had a special connection with Dr K.J. which we discovered while chatting during my term at WMC. Many years before then I had worked with Edith Holden and had posed for a portrait she was painting of a West Indian couple in their traditional dress. The woman wore numerous wrist bracelets and Edith used my hands to help her complete the portrait. All those many years later Dr KJ and I discovered that it was my hands in her portrait. She said she'd always have my hands. I'll never forget her either.

I was very sad to hear of Korshed's passing. She was such a wonderful, gentle person and was one of my mentors during my early career. Of course, I was one of her many "Lassies". I will always remember her. Holding family in my thoughts.

Dear Ura and Allan,
We are very sorry to hear of your mother's passing. She was a dear lady as you well know. As her neighbor, we did not see her very often, but when I did, we enjoyed an occasional cup of tea together. I was also one of the "lassies" in the labour suite at the hospital. We always enjoyed her smiles and good nature. She spoke of you both when we asked her and was extremely proud of you. Did you know that she had a few dinner parties for us at her house? She filled us with Indian delicacies and was a wonderful hostess. Your house is occupied and cared for by a young family with 2 small children.
I am sorry that she had to suffer with Alzheimer's disease, but I bet she kept smiling. She is happy now.
Sincerely,
Ralph and Cathy Redfern and family

Sorry to hear of the loss of your mother, She was a great Doctor and person. She was my doctor in the 80's and delivered all 3 of my children. She always had the time to listed to you at appointments, or a phone call was never a problem. My 3rd baby I had a moved away and asked her if I could have her deliver it and she was more than willing, she stayed in contact with the doctor I was seeing and when I would come to Brandon for a visit would go see her. I wouldn't have wanted anyone else to deliver my babies. I would run into her at either IGA or Safeway years after, and she still remember my name and my childrens names and would ask how they where doing. She was an amazing Women and will be greatly missed. She will always be remembered for the kind person she was and great doctor. I'm blessed to have had her for my Doctor.

I wish to send my condolences to the family of Dr. Karai-Jones. Although I never knew her on a personal level, I did have the privilege of being one of her patients in the 1970's. At a very young age, when I was in desperate need of guidance, she was there for me offering her support and expertise. I will never forget her kindness and the personal attention she gave me. She will always be in my heart.
