Obituary of Marguerite Isabell Wilson
WILSON: Marguerite Isabell passed away at her residence, Fairview Home, Brandon on Sunday, June 24, 2012 at the age of 96 years. Marge was born in Cobalt, Ontario on October 15, 1915 to William and Ida Lowe. For a few years, the family moved around and eventually settled in the Rackham District, east of Sandy Lake. This is where she met and married Fred Wilson. After a few years, the Wilson family moved to the North Park Gate of Riding Mountain National Park where they owned and operated a Sawmill and where they raised three children. After the death of her husband, Marge and her youngest daughter, Janice, moved to Dauphin where she got employment at the Dauphin General Hospital. After retirement, she moved to Hobbs Manor in Brandon, Manitoba where she was very active in all programs. During her lifetime, she had many hobbies: making quilts, sweaters, doilies and many other crafts. Mom was predeceased by her husband Fred and son Cecil, three brothers and a son-in-law, Bob Preston. She leaves to mourn her two daughters Arleen (Frank) Vegso of Penticton, BC and Janice Preston of Brandon, four grandchildren and four great grandchildren. The family would like to thank Dr. Egan and staff at Fairview Home and friends who cared and visited her. Marge will be laid to rest in the Dauphin Cemetery beside her husband and son at a later date.
