Dear Scott:
I do not get the paper on a regular basis and have only just found out today of the passing of your mother.
I had talked to her in January and asked her to come to supper with "The Grieving Group" (as we still called ourselves): a group which came together about eight years ago through Kim at Brockie's. Irene sounded like she may come but didn't. We talked about her art show at the Art Gallery and I went to see it.
She was a remarkably gifted lady and always made us laugh.

Irene was my daughter's grade three teacher at J.R.Reid. She was a wonderfully creative and dedicated teacher and took great pleasure in her students' performances. She was a great lady. My sincere sympathies are extended to her family.
We had the pleasure of meeting Irene while teaching monthly card classes at Riverheights Terrace. We will miss her smiling face and her creative flare. She was a fabulous lady.

I was sorry to see the obituary for Irene.
I only knew her briefly when we were roommates in 414 in March .
However I did enjoy our chats.
And we watched the Scott curling games.
I was in the bed bediside her (sore leg).

With our deepest sympathy in your loss of your mom, grandma. May fond memories sustain you at this time. She was a wonderful lady, and fellow teacher. She touched many lives and will be missed.
Irene was a good friend and will be missed for her laughter and fun, her ideas and caring. I wish her peace and good memories for all friends and family.
