Obituary of Joanne Rollins
ROLLINS: Joanne (Mudrey). On Sunday, April 29, 2012 surrounded by the love of her husband, son and four grandsons, our beloved wife, mother and nana died peacefully at the Brandon Regional Health Centre. Born October 20, 1950, in Sandy Lake, to Alex and Helen Mudrey, Joanne was the youngest of three children. She spent her childhood and attended school in Sandy Lake. Joanne married and had two children, a daughter Patti and a son Kelly. Joanne and her children moved to Brandon in 1978. In 1980 Joanne met her soul mate, Ted Stanley and they were together for 32 years. Joanne was a homemaker and was happiest when all her family was together and she could spoil them with her cooking. Their dog, Bandit, was a great joy to her. She enjoyed country music and listening to live bands. Left to keep alive Joanne's memory are her spouse, Ted Stanley; son Kelly (Tracy) Rollins of Calgary and his son Shawn and Tracy's son Kyle; grandsons Mike Rollins of Calgary, Chris and Dennis Rollins of Brandon; extended family and friends. Joanne was predeceased by her parents, her brother Jim, her sister Diane and in 2005 her beloved daughter Patti Rollins. A graveside service to honour Joanne was held at the Rapid City Cemetery on May 4, 2012.
