Obituary of Anna "Ann" Byers

BYERS: The death of Anna (Ann) Byers occurred in Brandon on March 25, 2012. Anna was born on December 9, 1910. In 1933, Anna married Mike Byers. Anna and Mike loved to travel and spent winters in Arizona. She also enjoyed fishing, the outdoors, shuffleboard, gardening, knitting and crocheting. Anna was predeceased by her husband Mike on October 21, 1997, her parents John and Tillie Serwonka, brothers Walter, Stanley, Joe and sister Catherine Poets. Left to mourn her passing are numerous nieces and nephews. Visitation for family and friends will be held at Brockie Donovan Funeral Home, 332-8th Street, on Thursday, March 29, 2012 from 7:00-8:00 p.m. Funeral services will be held at Brockie Donovan Chapel, on Friday, March 30, 2012 at 2:00 p.m. with Rev. Jim Brown of St. George's Anglican Church officiating. Interment will follow in the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Anna may be made to a charity of choice.
