Obituary of Ruth Elie Margaret Jones

JONES: Ruth Elie Jones (nee Hauser) passed away on January 11, 2012 at Dinsdale Personal Care Home. Ruth was born, raised and educated in Brandon. The youngest of three children of Robert and Wanda Hauser, Ruth chose a nursing career which she enjoyed very much. She went to the U.S. to work and completed a Post Graduate Program before returning to Brandon to take care of her mother. She met and married Walter Jones in 1965. They had one child, a son Marc in 1968. They built a country home and enjoyed life and travelled a lot. Ruth was predeceased by her parents, her father in 1958 and mother in 1986, her sister Elsie in October, 1968, and shortly after her brother-in-law Joe in December, 1968. Her husband Walter passed away in January, 1991. She remained in her lovely country home doing all her own lawn and yard work which had a park-like setting with beautiful trees and flowers. She leaves to mourn her passing, son Marc (Dianne), her only granddaughter Tanea, a brother Bingo and sister- in-law Jacylen and families, nieces Pat and Ken Warenko and family, Joann and Garnett Gillis and families, Laura and Max Hibbs and family and nephew Bob and Wendy Hauser and family. A funeral service will be held at Central United Church, 327 – 8th Street, Brandon, on Wednesday, January 18, 2012 at 1:00 p.m. with Rev. Laird Russell Yearwood officiating. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Canadian Diabetes Association, 727B-10th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 4G7 or the charity of one's choice.
