Obituary of James "Jim" Fleury

FLEURY: James "Jim" Fleury of Brandon passed away at the St. Boniface Hospital in Winnipeg, Manitoba on Tuesday, May 10, 2011 at the age of 79 years. Jim was born in Camperville, Manitoba on April 16, 1932 to Jean Louis Fleury and Marie Ledoux. He grew up in the Binscarth, Manitoba area and worked as a farmer. He later became employed by the CNR where he worked for many years. Jim is survived by his daughter Carol Brandon; granddaughter Lisa; brothers Mervin and Lawrence Fleury; sisters Cecile (Gordon) Burroughs, Verna (Harvey) DeMontigny, Yvonne (Brian) Fleury; sister-in-law Barb Fleury and numerous nieces and nephews. Prayers will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel, 332-8th Street, on Monday, May 16, 2011 at 7:00 p.m. The Funeral Service will be held at the Brockie Donovan Chapel on Tuesday, May 17, 2011 at 10:30 a.m. with Fr. James Ahaneku officiating.Pallbearers will be Kelvin DeMontigny, Vern DeMontigny, Jo-Ann Lawrence, Wanda Smith, Shirley Burroughs and Steven DeMontigny. Interment will follow at the Brandon Cemetery. Donations in memory of Jim may be made to the Heart & Stroke Foundation, Unit 3-824-18th Street, Brandon, MB, R7A 5B7.
