Obituary of Reuben Maier

Rueben K. Maier 76, of Eugene Oregon passed away on February 2 after a short illness. He was born to Reuben and Eunice Maier in Eugene, Oregon on February 27, 1937. He continued to reside in the Eugene area, graduating from Eugene High School and working with his father in the tire recapping business. He then moved on to work at Eugene Welders Supply where he began as a truck driver before moving into sales. He retired in December 1998 so he could focus on his pastimes of golf, fishing, maintaining his beautiful yard and being a grandpa. He is survived by his wife of over 50 years Brenda Maier, a brother Lee Maier, a son Bob (Joanne) Maier, a daughter Denise (Michael) Barclay and three grandchildren Amanda, Alyssa and Brett. He is preceded in death by his parents and sister, Jeannie. There will be a graveside service held at Crystal Lakes Cemetery in Corvallis on Friday, February 7th at 11:30.
